Sad News: Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96

Sad News: Queen Elizabeth II dies at 96 says Buckingham palace. The Queen of the United Kingdom who is also Head of State of 14 other counties, died peacefully, this afternoon at Balmoral, according to the statement.

She was also Head of the Commonwealth which has 54 Countries, including Cameroon and many African countries. Brazilian president Jair Bolsanaro said the country would be holding three days of official mourning in honour of the Queen.

He described the monarch as not just the Queen of England but a “Queen to all of us”, adding that she was an “extraordinary and unique woman, whose example of leadership, humility and love for (her) homeland will continue to inspire us and the whole world until the end of time”.

She is the longest-reigned British monarch who ascended the throne at just 27 years old and ruled the United Kingdom for more than 70 years. Buckingham Palace announced on Twitter “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,”
