Sad News: A resident of Yaoundé admits to having beheaded her sister-in-law in order to settle a debt of 4 million FCFA. This took place on the 22nd of this month of August 2022.
It is a scene worthy of a Hollywood film that the lady, identified by the name Marie France Mbeya, recounts in a video circulating on social networks and published by the Facebook Big Nzuimanto account. She is obviously a resident of the city of Yaoundé, the Cameroonian capital, precisely in the Obili district, and responds to an interrogation, carried out by the police who apprehended her. She admits to having ” slit the throat ” of her victim, who would be her sister-in-law, by the way, using a bottle blade in a hotel room located in the Biyem-Assi district, after having knocked him out with the said bottle…
The scene took place on Monday, August 22, 2022. Afterwards, she returned to her home, and later returned to extract the victim’s body, decapitated and stored in a suitcase, but was stopped at the exit of the hotel by the security guard, who in the meantime, would have alerted the police, according to concordant testimonies.
On the motivations of this Machiavellian act, the unfortunate confides that she acted on the instructions of a fellow met on the social network Facebook, who promised to help her pay off an old debt of 4 million FCFA that she had been dragging for years.
“ I was in a meeting in my husband’s village. I owe money there, almost 4 million FCFA (…) I have been in debt for almost 4 years. I met a gentleman on Facebook, I told him that I have too many problems, I do small business, but that’s not enough to settle my debts,” she said, before continuing: “ he asked me to deposit the body in any cemetery, I film, and he sends me the money”.
An appalling testimony was assumed by the lady who committed this crime, who will have to answer for her actions before the competent courts.
