Sad News: A Nigerian University Lecturer Dies In Auto Crash Just Hours After Invigilation. This event took place on Thursday the 26th of August 2022 after which the late lecturer had finished invigilation in the university’s ongoing 2nd-semester examination.

According to reports from Daily Trust, the lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Kwara State University, Malete, Idris Oladimeji Yahyah, lost his life in an accident along Jebba road on his way to Ilorin.

Students and colleagues have expressed shock over his untimely death which went viral on social media on Friday. The Director of University Relations of KWASU, Mrs Saeedat Aliyu, confirmed the incident, adding that an official statement would be released soon. The late lecturer, a native of the Adifa community in Ilorin, is survived by his father, wife and little daughter.
