Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote, is now the 63rd richest billionaire in the world, according to Bloomberg’s latest ranking.
Dangote, who rose 37 places in Bloomberg’s recent billionaire’s list, is now worth $20.2 billion. He was the 65th richest man in the world as of Friday, July 8, 2022.
The Nigerian, who is the richest person in Africa, owns 85% of the listed company Dangote Cement through a holding company. His company has the capacity to produce 48.6 million metric tons per year and is present in 10 African countries.
“The details of the calculations are provided in the net worth analysis on each billionaire’s profile page. The figures are updated at the close of each trading day in New York,” says Bloomberg.
Among the 10 richest billionaires on the list are Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, Bill Gates, Gautam Adani, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Warren Buffett, and Steve Ballmer and Larry Ellison.
