The creation of the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) is the expression of the will of the Head of State, HE Mr Paul BIYA, to make vocational training one of the essential levers of the process of decentralization and development in Cameroon.

Vocational training is therefore affirmed today for our Decentralized Territorial Communities (CTD), as a means of developing the necessary skills to meet the challenges of making Cameroon an emerging country, united in its diversity by 2035.

Determined to allow each CTD to have quality human resources, NASLA presents itself as the crucible of local development by encouraging and promoting the professional development of learners, but also and above all the management methods of CTDs.

NASLA is positioned as the only school in sub-Saharan Africa set up by a State for the training of CTD personnel.

Our mission is to provide professional training in the areas of competence and specialities of local administration, in accordance with the guidelines defined by the Government.

To this end, our objective is to combine the acquisition of technical knowledge, know-how and skills through:

  • Initial diploma training;
  • The formation continues ;
  • Specific training.

The sharing of experience and expertise now plays a major role in the development of our CTDs. Our ambition is to succeed in renewing the way we look at professional practices and to place knowledge at the service of success through our Research and Documentation Center.

Committed, NASLA places ethics at the heart of its approach. We respect the principles of good governance, and we intend to maintain responsible relationships with all of our interlocutors (Ministries, CTDs, Technical and Financial Partners, etc.) in an environment marked by high expectations both from local players and from society. whole.

Our vision is to make NASLA an Institute of Advanced Studies for training in city trades, ranging from the design of local public policies to the administration of services and the maintenance of living spaces.

This ambition calls for the mobilization of all the energies and all the components engaged in the implementation of the will of the Head of State in terms of decentralization.

We are aware of the challenges but resolutely optimistic about the ability of our teams to meet them with the benevolent support of our supervisors, the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development and the Ministry of Finance.
