LB Global-Consulting is looking for a Chief Financial Accountant

LB Global-Consulting is looking for a Chief Financial Accountant in Yaounde, Centre, Cameroon. Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a Chief Financial Accountant. You have a Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives, the ability to monitor all financial data and prepare accurate statements for our company, to manage Financial Accountant responsibilities including budgeting and managing tax payments.

Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve desired organizational outcomes. have a thorough knowledge of conducting cost and revenues

You have the ability to understand the viewpoint of higher management and effectively analyze complex problems, master new technical, can take quick and approximate actions in varied management situations. This job is for you.

You will directly report and provide support to the Group CFO in this role, as a referent and a leader, to advise people and provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Management/Advisory / Overseer

1.    Performing daily Finance department tasks

  • Verifying official documents before sending them to CFO for signature.
  • Verifying daily cash count at the close of business and signing the cash certificate prepared by Accountant.
  • Making any official negotiations on behalf of the Company in liaison with the CFO, etc

2.    Preparing and Interpreting Management and Financial reports

  • Preparation of weekly expenditure report.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, bank reconciliations, debtors aged listing, creditors statements, stock reconciliation reports, and inter-company reconciliations, etc

3.    Preparing budgets and performing budgetary control

  • Preparing weekly, monthly and annual budgets.
  • Analyzing actual performance against budgeted performance and interpreting the variances.

4.    Tax Planning

  • Liaising with CFO to avail financial data to tax consultant for the tax declaration.
  • Following up with tax consultants to ensure tax declarations are filed promptly.
  • Planning and making tax payments.

5.    People Management and Performance for success

  • Controlling monthly payroll and ensuring all employees are paid promptly.
  • Providing guidance, training, coaching, and motivation to staff under your direct supervision.
  • Preparing job descriptions and key performance indicators for all employees in his department
  • Leading performance monitoring and appraisal.

6.    Liaising with the Audit team on the conduct of audits

  • Availing all documents and explanations required during periodic internal audits.
  • Liaising with CFO for the provision of documents and information during any statutory Audits, etc

Required Skills and Competencies:

  1. Bilingual – English & French
  2. Strong business acumen and leadership ability

  8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Accounting System applications

  11. Ability to multitask.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Overall 08 years of work experience in a finance managerial role 
  • Experience supervising and developing staff
  • Experience implementing strategies and systems
  • Excellent mastery of general and analytical accounting
  • Perfect knowledge of accounting procedures, fiscal principles, and management indicators in taxation.
  • Good sensitivity to information systems, from an angle of use or implementation of the project
  • Perfect knowledge of the business sector(s) of the group
