Lauretta Onochie to ASUU President: “How Can You Beat A Child And Expect Him To Run To You?”. In Nigeria, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have been on strike for several months over pending issues with the federal government.
It would be recalled that the president of the union, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke recently made a comment that the body does not need the backing of the Nigerian Students in their ongoing struggle. Reacting to the development, Special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie has condemned the statement that has been credited to Professor Emmanuel Osodeke.
Lauretta while reacting via her social media platforms, described Professor Emmanuel Osodeke’s remarks as cruel. According to her, he should not expect the students to come close to the union if he can say something like that. She also accused the ASUU president of not respecting anybody.

“Is there anyone this man respects? How can you beat a child and expect him to run to you? This is cruel.” she said.
