Kenyan Student Explains How Guards Attacked Him & Took Him to Police Station With False Claims. Police in the Sangalo area of Bungoma county are investigating a case in which a college student at Sangalo institute was assaulted by two guards in a viral video.
The student who goes by the name of Fredrick Otieno aged 26 years revealed that he lost consciousness and almost died during the attack. The guards later took him to a police station while he was in pain accusing him of assaulting them and being in the compound illegally.
He said that his spinal cord is now injured and cannot nod his head or walk properly.
Fredrick claimed that despite being on suspension since last year over allegations that he planned a strike, his Rugby coach told him to turn up at school for training in preparation for a Ketiso ball game at Bumbe technical college in Busia county.
Sangalo institute Principal Dr. Rosebella Chuku condemned the attack on the student and said that she will address the matter next week since she is away from school for now.
