Kenya: Panic As Form One Student Beats Fellow Student To Death. It is not yet clear the circumstances that led to a fight between two students which resulted in one of them losing his life. According to Mwingi West OCPD, Mr Kazungu Charo, they are still investigating what led to a form one student beating a fellow student to death.
It was reported that the form one student at Ndaluni secondary school located in Kyome/Thaana ward in Mwingi West, Kitui county that two students were involved in a fight. One beat the other until he fell unconscious. Unfortunately, he died on the way while being rushed to Mwingi level 4 hospital.
The suspect was arrested and further investigations are ongoing. Relevant authorities are questioning why over one hundred teachers failed to recognize the fight and block the students from further fights.
The OCPD and his police officers expressed concerns at how the school authority with over 127 teachers failed to notice the fight.
“What was reported to us is the death of the students and not what led to his death. Thus we call for more investigations to ascertain the genesis of the fight and where the school officials were at during this disturbing occurrence,” he stated.
