The GES Academic Calendar 2022-2023 is available and can be checked from our website. The Ghana Education Service in a release on its social media handles seeks to remind the general public that the Basic school’s calendar released in March of this year remains the same.
About GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools In Ghana
- The GES Academic calendar for basic schools was reverted to the Trimester system consisting of three terms earlier this year.
- This comes after consultation with stakeholders who expressed displeasure about the Semester based academic calendar which was introduced earlier.

1st Term Academic Calendar is as follows:
- 18th January to 7th April 2022 (12 Weeks of School Session)
- 7th April to 9th May 2022 (Vacation)
GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 2nd TERM
2nd Term Academic Calendar is as follows:
- 10th May to 11th August 2022 (14 Weeks School Session)
- 11th August to 12th September 2022 (Vacation)
GES Academic Calendar For Basic Schools 3rd TERM
- 3rd Term Academic Calendar is as follows:
- 13th September to 15th December 2022 (14 Weeks of School Session)
- Vacation – 15th December

- 1st Term Vacation Date For Basic Schools in Ghana is as follows: 7th April to 9th May 2022
- 2nd Term Vacation Date For Basic Schools in Ghana is as follows: 11th August to 12th September 2022
