Fully Funded Swansea University PhD Swansea University Scholarship in Sports Science 2022. This program is open for application till the 03 of August 2022.
The PhD studentship will build upon and extend a current project being run by the supervisors and two MSc Research students. The research will likely be interdisciplinary, drawing on ethics, sociology, science and human rights insights to help develop policy and regulations related to the inclusion of athletes with DSDs or transgender athletes in elite sports. The successful candidate should have proven experience of studying within this field for at least one year. The candidate will have a significant ability to shape the PhD towards their particular interests consistent with the overall aims of the study.
Eligibility
Candidates must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University) in Sports Science or similar relevant science discipline.
English Language requirements: If applicable – IELTS 6.5 overall (with at least 5.5 in each individual component) or Swansea recognised equivalent.
Due to funding restrictions, this scholarship is open to applicants eligible to pay tuition fees at the UK rate only, as defined by UKCISA regulations.

This scholarship covers the full cost of UK tuition fees and an annual stipend of £16,062.
Additional research expenses will also be available.
