Who Can Apply for the Fully-funded Commonwealth Scholarships in UK 2022-23?

Be a resident or permanent resident of a Commonwealth country. You will still be eligible if you are a refugee or British-protected person.

You also need to have an undergraduate honours degree, if you are interested in Masters Program. If you wish to study for a PhD, you will need an applicable master’s degree too.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following requirements should be met only then will candidates be allowed to apply.

  • Be a resident of or have been allowed refugee standing by an acceptable Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.
  • Be lastingly resident in a suitable Commonwealth country.
  • Those who have finished their 4 Year Bachelor Degree or those who have finished 2 Year bachelor’s and 2 Year Master’s are qualified to apply for the Commonwealth Scholarship in the United Kingdom.
  • Not be registered for a PhD, or an MPhil leading to a PhD, at a UK university before September/October 2022
  • By October 2022, contain the first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree and appropriate postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
  • Be prepared to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2022
