Cameroon: Bertrand Mendouga elected as president of the African Boxing Confederation

Cameroon: Bertrand Mendouga elected as president of the African Boxing Confederation. The event of his election took place on Saturday, July 16 during the elective Congress of the continental body in Algiers.
With 21 of the 40 votes, the Cameroonian is well ahead of his two opponents: the Algerian Nouredine Fazil-Ferhat, president of the Algerian Boxing Federation (FAB) with 10 votes and the Ugandan Moses Muhangi (9 votes).
“ It’s a new day for Africa. I will not be the president of the 21 countries that voted for me, but the president of all the countries of Africa” , rejoiced Bertrand Mendouga after his election as head of the CAB. Good news for Cameroon which sees one of its sons wearing the national colours.
According to the texts of the organization, Cameroon will host his term, the headquarters of the Confederation of African Boxing (CAB).
