Cameroon: Army defuses an explosive device in Kumba

Cameroon: Army defuses an explosive device in Kumba thanks to the vigilance of a man who saw the explosive device under a chair in a busy drinking establishment in the Buea Road district and immediately informed the Kumba Town Central Police Station.
In the aftermath, sources report, elements of the defence and security forces led by the prefect of the Meme, Chamberlin Ntou’o Ndong deported to the scene. Thanks to their professionalism, they defuse the device ready to explode visibly posed by separatist fighters. An action that avoided the worst.
The prefect of Meme held a meeting with his collaborators to strengthen security measures in his department. It must be said that since the stalemate of the English-speaking crisis in the North-West and South-West, separatist fighters have posed improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to cause the maximum number of victims both in the army and civilians.
